On Monday, the Downtown Doral Dolphins made easy work of the Somerset Academy South Homestead Hurricanes and carried off an 11-3 win. The Dolphins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.
Sebastian Richards and Robin Liberatore did most of the damage at the plate: Richards went 1-for-2 with one triple and two RBI, while Liberatore scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. That triple was Richards' first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Madden Perez, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Downtown Doral is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8 runs. Somerset Academy South Homestead's defeat was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-8.
