The Adirondack Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 33-32 to Clinton. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Adirondack has scored all season.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Camryn Backer, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. Those ten points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Skyler Green, who scored 11 points.
Adirondack struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Adirondack's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-4. As for Clinton, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-0.
Adirondack will face off against Canastota at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clinton will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Waterville at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
