They walked away with a 73-62 win over Cleveland Central Catholic. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
It was another big night for George Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Simon, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
East Tech pushed their record up to 14-4 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.4 points per game. As for Cleveland Central Catholic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.
East Tech will take on Rhodes at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Rhodes' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matches. As for Cleveland Central Catholic, they will be playing at home against Open Door Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
