Basketball Recap: Plumas Charter Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

If Plumas Charter was riding high fresh off their 64-25 takedown of Butte Valley last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Plumas Charter Warriors fell just short of the Etna Lions by a score of 50-47 on Friday. The Warriors were not able to make up for their defeat to the Lions from their previous meeting back in December of 2023.

Despite the loss, Plumas Charter still got an impressive performance from Dalton Bentz, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. Bentz is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Michael Taddei, who posted seven points and five rebounds.

Plumas Charter's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-3. As for Etna, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-5.

Plumas Charter wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 98-64 defeat against Hoopa Valley on the 4th. As for Etna, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Trinity at 8:00 p.m. on January 14th. Trinity knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Etna likes a good challenge.
