Akron  took care of business in their home opener  on Saturday. They walked away with  a   6-3  win over the Sedgwick County Cougars. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Akron also won the last time the pair played  back in April of 2023.

 In other batting news,  Brandon Hellyer and  Tucker Stahn did most of the damage at the plate:  Hellyer  scored a  run while going 1-for-4, while  Stahn  went 1-for-4 with a  triple, a  run,  and  an  RBI.
 On Sedgwick County's side,  Jaxon Carlson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while going 2-for-4.
 Akron will have a chance to go back-to-back against Sedgwick County: the pair will be back at it again later today.
