The Lucerne Valley Mustangs lost against the Glendale Adventist Cougars back in December of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Lucerne Valley was outmatched by Glendale Adventist on the road and fell 65-23. Lucerne Valley was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-9.
Despite the loss, Lucerne Valley still got an impressive performance from Derrick Tyler, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Tyler scored a full 47.8% of Lucerne Valley's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Lucerne Valley has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season. As for Glendale Adventist, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Lucerne Valley will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Mesa Grande Academy at 4:30 p.m. on December 28th. Glendale Adventist won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Bethel Christian at 6:00 p.m. on December 27th. Bethel Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully Glendale Adventist likes a good challenge.
