Baseball Recap: Bridges Prep Find Success

While Bridges Prep's victory against Hampton County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Buccaneers had just enough and edged out the Hurricanes 5-4 on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-5 last Tuesday.

James Williams was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Bridges Prep's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Hampton County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7.

Bridges Prep will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Coastal HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Hampton County, they will face off against Bamberg-Ehrhardt at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
