The Rocky River Ravens lost against the Charlotte Catholic Cougars back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Rocky River lost to the Cougars at home by a decisive 66-51 margin. Rocky River has not had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Several Ravens players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Shamari Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Johnson hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for 12 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Ross, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Charlotte Catholic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eddie David, who scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Noah Noch, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Rocky River's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Charlotte Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 14-7.
Rocky River will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Butler's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games. As for Charlotte Catholic, they will head out on the road to challenge the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Garinger is out to stop a nine-game streak of losses at home.
