York-Adams II recap Oct. 16, 2012
West York Area extended the longest winning streak in York-Adams II this week by beating Dover, 54-13. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
Northeastern moved up to 194 from 250 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Bobcats climbed the ranks as a result of besting Susquehannock 41-6.
Alec Miller and Daniel Adams gave Northeastern a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Miller threw for 138 yards and three touchdowns, while Adams ran for 118 yards. Teammate Nick Yinger added to the ground attack by rushing for 38 yards.
Zach Smith was the best wideout in the league this week as West York Area beat the Eagles. Smith tallied seven receptions for 119 yards. Brock Snellbaker helped West York Area's passing attack out by catching one ball for five yards.
Brandon Kinneman provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Ronald Miller's team bested Dover. He completed eight passes for 124 yards and three touchdowns and also ran for 61 yards.
The Bulldogs' Kinneman and Smith have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading York-Adams II in both passing and receiving yards. Kinneman has thrown for 805 yards this season, while Smith, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 38 catches for 658 yards. Brendan Brown's team's Adams leads the league in rushing yards with 884.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Bill Miller's team takes on the Bobcats. The Eagles are currently in third, while Northeastern is in second.
West York Area took down Dover 54-13 last week, the largest margin of any game. Kinneman in the win.
