The Barlow Bruins will face off against the Sunset Apollos at TBD on Friday. Barlow will be hoping to continue their five-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Barlow had no problem doing just that on Friday. They pulled ahead with a 37-36 photo finish over Liberty. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Meanwhile, Sunset faced Mountainside in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Sunset didn't even let Mountainside onto the board and left with a 7-0 win on Friday. The win was familiar territory for Sunset who now have four in a row.
Their wins bumped Barlow to 6-5 and Sunset to 7-4.
