The Wakulla Christian School Saints will take on the Wewahitchka Gators at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Wakulla Christian School fought the good fight in their overtime game against Jefferson County on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 73-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Seth Barwick, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds. Jackson Lawhon was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Wewahitchka lost to Ponce De Leon at home by a decisive 74-55 margin on Tuesday. Wewahitchka has not had much luck with Ponce De Leon recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Drake McGlon, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Kaden Brooks, who scored 11 points.
Wakulla Christian School's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Wewahitchka, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.
Wakulla Christian School came up short against Wewahitchka when the teams last played on Friday, falling 56-48. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of McGlon, who scored 19 points.
