The Chester Yellowjackets were the 46-44 winner over the Anna-Jonesboro Wildcats when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Chester took a 58-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Anna-Jonesboro.
Despite the loss, Chester still got an impressive performance from Lexie Mott, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Camryn Luthy, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Chester has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-17 record this season. As for Anna-Jonesboro, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-25.
Chester does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Anna-Jonesboro, they will head out on the road to square off against Carterville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Carterville's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
