The Lighthouse Prep Academy Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Heartland Christian Academy Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Lighthouse Prep Academy's game was all tied up 22-22 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They snuck past Heritage Academy with a 47-42 win. The victory was just what Lighthouse Prep Academy needed coming off of a 47-25 defeat in their prior game.
Lighthouse Prep Academy relied on the efforts of Jordan Little, who scored 12 points, and Alajun Proctor, who scored 13 points. Grant King was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Meanwhile, Heartland Christian Academy had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Heritage Academy 76-56. Heartland Christian Academy's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Heartland Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rylee Kiser led the charge by scoring 21 points. Another player making a difference was Noah Bock, who scored 17 points.
Lighthouse Prep Academy's record is now 3-7. Heartland Christian Academy's record is now 3-6.
Things could have been worse for Lighthouse Prep Academy, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 77-63 loss to the Eagles in their previous meeting back in February of 2023.
