Monday just wasn't the day for Shorecrest's offense. They fell just short of the Snohomish Panthers by a score of 2-0 on Monday. The Scots' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Shorecrest got a good showing from Oliver Verdoes, who didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Shorecrest saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooks Murray, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Murray has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

Shorecrest suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 5-2. As for Snohomish, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
