Madison put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past Hillsdale 47-26. Given Madison's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while Hillsdale is ranked 472nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Madison got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Nevaeh Parish out in front who scored 17 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Parish has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaeda Parish, who scored 15 points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Britton Deerfield came into Thursday's matchup having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Sand Creek by a score of 31-23 on Thursday. That eight point margin sets a new team best for Britton Deerfield this season.
Madison is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. As for Britton Deerfield, their victory ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-14.
Madison strolled past Britton Deerfield in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 by a score of 53-36. Does Madison have another victory up their sleeve, or will Britton Deerfield turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
