West Melbourne Christian Academy waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Liberty Christian Prep by a score of 58-45. That result was just more of the same for these two, as West Melbourne Christian Academy also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West Melbourne Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ariel Buigues, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Leroy Stuckey, who scored 13 points.
Despite the loss, Liberty Christian Prep still got an impressive performance from Jaden Victor, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and ten assists. Another player making a difference was Noah Frerking, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
West Melbourne Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Liberty Christian Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 2-15.
West Melbourne Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Lions on January 26th. Family Christian Academy will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Liberty Christian Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
