If the Antelope Titans were riding high off their 84-39 takedown of the Rosemont Wolverine last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Antelope fell just short of Placer by a score of 64-61. While losing is never fun, Antelope can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 201st, while Placer is ranked 11th).
Despite the loss, Antelope saw an underclassman step up: SirMister Harriel scored 21 points along with 5 rebounds. The match was Harriel's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Ethan Thompson was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 5 rebounds.
Antelope's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Placer, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Antelope will take on Sacramento at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Placer, they will be playing at home against Davis at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Davis is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
