The Bremond Tigers will be playing at home against the Hubbard Jaguars at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
After a string of 22 wins, Bremond's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. Their tough 50-28 defeat to Marlin might stick with them for a while. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Bremond has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Hubbard's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Marlin 81-9. While losing is never fun, Hubbard can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1254th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 241st).
Bremond's loss ended a 19-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 22-1. As for Hubbard, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Bremond against the Jaguars in their previous matchup back in January as the squad secured a 64-21 victory. Does Bremond have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Jaguars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
