Even though the Airport Jets scored an imposing 64 points on Tuesday, the Salem Rocks still came out on top. Salem put the hurt on Airport with a sharp 84-64 win. That's another feather in the cap for Salem, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Ryan Peters went supernova for Salem, scoring 40 points along with 8 steals and 5 rebounds. The contest was Peters' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mitchell Robillard, who scored 13 points along with 3 steals.
Salem's victory bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Airport, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Salem will head out on the road to face off against Pioneer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Airport will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Riverview at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th.
