Roosevelt's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Calvin Peterson, who scored 25 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Wells, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds.
Patrick Henry suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Saturday. They were beaten by Madison Prep Academy 100-42. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Patrick Henry has scored all season.
Roosevelt is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Patrick Henry, they bumped their record down to 2-8 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
Roosevelt and Patrick Henry were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in January of 2023, but Roosevelt came up empty-handed after a 55-54 loss. Can Roosevelt avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
