Red Cloud is 9-1 against Todd County since December of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Red Cloud Crusaders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Todd County Falcons at 3:30 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Even though Hill City scored an imposing 63 points on Saturday, Red Cloud still came out on top. Red Cloud had just enough and edged Hill City out 66-63.
Red Cloud had a senior duo take command as Monty Montileaux scored 22 points and Nick Zuniga scored 17 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals. Josh Anderson was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 6 rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Chamberlain scored an imposing 56 points on Saturday, Todd County still came out on top. Todd County came out on top in a nail-biter against Chamberlain and snuck past 58-56.
Red Cloud's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Todd County, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Red Cloud beat Todd County 53-41 when the teams last played back in February. Does Red Cloud have another victory up their sleeve, or will Todd County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
