The Franklin Quakers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They received a tough blow as they fell 74-60 to Wells. Yes, you read that score correctly, and yes, they were playing football.
Despite the loss, Franklin still got an impressive performance from William Reid, who threw for 477 yards and six touchdowns while completing 78.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 93 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Aman, who picked up 178 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Leading Wells to victory were Wyatt Andler and Marselis Griffiths. Andler rushed for 191 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry, while Griffiths rushed for 164 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 carries. Griffin Scott was another key contributor, rushing for 106 yards and a touchdown.
Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Wells, their win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-1.
Franklin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Wells also has no future games currently scheduled.
