Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up eight more assists than your opponent, a fact the Forestview Jaguars proved on Tuesday. They came out on top against Bandys by a score of 62-50. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Forestview.
Forestview's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Blair Riley, who scored 13 points along with 7 rebounds and 6 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Molly Forgan, who scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds.
Bandys' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kate Dutka, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 10 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Rachel Anderson, who scored 15 points along with 9 rebounds.
Forestview's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Bandys, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Forestview will head out on the road to face off against Palisades at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Palisades focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Monday. As for Bandys, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Iredell at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
