Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Westwood). They really took it to the West Florence Knights for the full four quarters, racking up a 67-25 win. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-8.

Westwood's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Amari Alexander led the charge by going 6 of 12 on her way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Thanna Davis, who went 5 for 9 en route to 12 points.

West Florence's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kara Fluharty, who posted three points and seven boards.

Westwood's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-11. As for West Florence, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-12.

Westwood will venture away from home to square off against Sumter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. That match will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Araina Ross and Aneya Britt. As for West Florence, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Spring Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Spring Valley's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine contests.
