Pueblo Central was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight  defeat. The  matchup between them and the La Junta Tigers didn't end well, with the Pueblo Central Wildcats falling  42-24. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing  32-24 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
 Despite the  loss, Pueblo Central saw an underclassman step up: freshman  Sophia Perez  posted six points.
 Leading La Junta to victory were  Isabelle Aragon and  Raquel Rodriguez.  Aragon  dropped  a double-double on 13  points and 14  boards, while  Rodriguez  went 6 of 12  on her way to 18  points and eight  rebounds. Those 18 points gave  Rodriguez a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kinsley Mayo, who  had two  points in addition to five  boards and three  steals.
Pueblo Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for La Junta, they moved to 4-5 with that  victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
 Pueblo Central will welcome Rampart  at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. As for La Junta, they will head out to  challenge Lamar  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. La Junta has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
