The Brawley Wildcats will take on the Eastlake Titans in a tournament on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Brawley is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Central on Tuesday as they made off with a 12-2 win. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Daniella Yescas was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Brawley let Isabella Yescas and Demi Cornejo run wild. Yescas scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Cornejo went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs Yescas has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Roslyn Rubio, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Brawley hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 2-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Eastlake's hitters rose to the challenge against a Wolf Pack pitching crew that boasted an average of only 3.56 runs allowed on Tuesday. The Titans blew past West Hills 10-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Titans.
Camila Castillo looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.
On the hitting side, Mackenzie Olshenskie was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, seven RBI, and two runs. Bri Ayap was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.
Eastlake's win bumped their record up to 10-4-1. As for Brawley, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 6-12.
