Volleyball Recap: Troy Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Troy waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the McLouth Bulldogs. The Trojans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Troy easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-16.

Harper Whetstine paced Troy's offense, picking up four kills. Whetstine really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with two.

Troy now has a winning record of 11-10. As for McLouth, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-19-5 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Troy beat McLouth by a score of 2-0 later that day.
