Last Tuesday, everything went St. Augustine Catholic's way against Santa Rita as St. Augustine Catholic made off with a 56-31 win. The win was just what St. Augustine Catholic needed coming off of a 61-35 loss in their prior contest.
St. Augustine Catholic's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carolina Georgelous, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Georgelous hasn't dropped below two blocks for four straight games. Megan Callahan was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with 8 assists and 6 rebounds.
Even though Tombstone has not done well against Valley Union recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Tombstone came out on top against Valley Union by a score of 42-34. The win was just what Tombstone needed coming off of a 49-22 loss in their prior game.
St. Augustine Catholic's win bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Tombstone, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
