Two dominant  signal callers in  Ty Truelove and  Hampton Johnson are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Rabun County Wildcats will take on the Athens Academy Spartans at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday.  Rabun County got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Lake Evans out in front who rushed for 59 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. The team also got some help courtesy of  Truelove, who threw for 194 yards and two touchdowns on only ten passes.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Rabun County was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 206  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 206  rushing yards in six consecutive  matches.
 Meanwhile, Athens Academy put another one in the bag  on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They won a  matchup that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Elbert County 35-34.
 Athens Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Johnson, who rushed for 77 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, and also threw for 143 yards and two touchdowns.  Keyon Standifer also helped with two touchdowns in total.
 Rabun County pushed their record up to 6-2 with the  win, which was their fourth straight  at home. As for Athens Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 9-0.
 Friday's   contest might be decided in the on the ground. Rabun County has been unstoppable on the ground this season,  having  averaged 260.1  rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Athens Academy struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 275.6. It's looking like  Friday's  game might have some serious battles in the trenches.
