If The Shippensburg Greyhounds were feeling good off their 27-0 takedown of the Waynesboro Indians last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Shippensburg took a 21-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of Greencastle-Antrim on Friday. Shippensburg lost against Greencastle-Antrim in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 42-26 score last time.
Although Shippensburg took the loss, they still got scores from Janye statum and Patrick Eichelberger.
Greencastle-Antrim was led to victory by Logan Alvey and Carter Mccauley. Alvey threw for 136 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, while Mccauley picked up 58 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Shippensburg's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Greencastle-Antrim, their victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-3.
Shippensburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Greencastle-Antrim will head out on the road to face off against South Western at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Western has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 140 points over their last three games.
