Two dominant guards in Lukas Worster and Ethan Parker are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Nebraska Lutheran Knights will be playing at home against the Walthill Blujays at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Nebraska Lutheran focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Nebraska Lutheran earned a 52-43 win over St. Francis.
Lucas Corwin had an outrageously good game as he scored 23 points along with five rebounds and three steals. It was the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. Silas Vogel was another key contributor, scoring two points along with 11 rebounds and eight blocks.
Meanwhile, Walthill came up short against Ponca on Saturday and fell 55-42. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Walthill has scored all season.
Walthill's loss came about despite a quality game from Adrian Phillips, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Parker, who scored eight points.
Nebraska Lutheran's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Walthill, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 14-4.
Nebraska Lutheran strolled past Walthill when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a score of 77-60. Will Nebraska Lutheran repeat their success, or does Walthill have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
