The Englewood Rams lost against the Fletcher Senators back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Englewood took a 56-42 bruising from Fletcher. Englewood has struggled against Fletcher recently, as their match on Thursday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Englewood still got an impressive performance from Michael Thomas, who scored 13 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Thomas has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kevon Roulhac, who scored five points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Leading Fletcher to victory were Matthew Barata and Dj Rivera. Barata scored 14 points, while Rivera scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Rivera scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Perry, who scored six points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Englewood has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season. As for Fletcher, their win bumped their record up to 10-12.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Englewood will square off against Riverside at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fletcher on the road again on Tuesday and play against Raines at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. Raines presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Fletcher in Florida (Raines is ranked 67th, while Fletcher is ranked 351st).
