Stamford and New Canaan are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. Benny Heagle made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Heagle was also solid in the batter's box, earning one RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season.
In other batting news, Thomas Shullman was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with two triples and two runs. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gianluca D'Andrea, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
