Waldron hasn't had much luck against Hauser recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Mohawks will head out to square off against the Jets at 5:30 p.m. Waldron has given up an average of 18.9 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Waldron is headed into Wednesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 19th straight game dating back to last season on Monday. They lost 16-3 to Edinburgh.
Waldron saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooklyn Milbourn, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run. Korrie Jones also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
Meanwhile, Hauser made easy work of Morristown on Monday and carried off a 13-1 victory. The Jets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by seven runs or more this season.
Haven Hartwell made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in ten consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Isabelle Brunner was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. Lucie Asher was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Hauser always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .645. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Hauser has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.9 runs over those games. As for Waldron, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.
Waldron might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Hauser in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Mohawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
