While Bearden's win against William Blount wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bulldogs had just enough and edged out the Governors 5-4. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Governors: they've now won five in a row.

Bearden's win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for William Blount, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 10-7 record.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Bearden is set to take on their familiar foe Hardin Valley Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 3.6, the Hawks 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, William Blount will square off against rival Farragut at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
