In what's become a running theme this season, the Landrum Cardinals gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They claimed a resounding 71-20 victory over Greer Middle College at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-8.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Landrum to victory, but perhaps none more so than Savannah Brown, who scored 13 points along with six assists and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylee Cortez, who scored 18 points along with four steals.
Landrum's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 55.33 points. As for Greer Middle College, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which lines up perfectly with their 4-12 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Landrum will face off against Liberty at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 241st, while Landrum is ranked 38th). As for Greer Middle College, they will head out on the road to take on Greenville Tech Charter at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Greenville Tech Charter is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
