After both having extra time off, the Colorado Springs Christian Lions and the Sierra Stallions will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Colorado Springs Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

Colorado Springs Christian fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Harrison last Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 4-2. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Colorado Springs Christian saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Howland, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. That hit was Howland's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Sierra was not able to break out of their rough patch last Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 16-6 to Ellicott. That's two games in a row now that the Stallions have lost by exactly ten runs.

Romeo Diaz made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in both of his plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more stolen bases the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Rodrigo Marquez, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Even though they lost, Sierra always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .524. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

Colorado Springs Christian's record is now 1-3. As for Sierra, their record now sits at 0-5.

Colorado Springs Christian took their win against Sierra when the teams last played back in March of 2019 by a conclusive 16-2. Does Colorado Springs Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sierra turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
