Gray Collegiate Academy has won four straight games at home, while North Augusta has won four straight on the road dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Gray Collegiate Academy War Eagles will host the North Augusta Yellow Jackets at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, Gray Collegiate Academy blew past Midland Valley, posting a 60-29 victory. Given the War Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 38th, while the Mustangs are ranked 208th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Gray Collegiate Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kadence Walker-Lee, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards. Walker-Lee has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times she's played. Kiley Freeman was another key player, putting up 19 points and six boards.
Gray Collegiate Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, North Augusta really took it to Midland Valley for the full four quarters, racking up a 70-11 win. With the Yellow Jackets ahead 41-4 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Gray Collegiate Academy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.2 points per game. As for North Augusta, their victory bumped their record up to 18-1.
Gray Collegiate Academy came up short against North Augusta in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 37-28. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of North Augusta's Celena Grant, who went 7 for 12 en route to 17 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. Now that Gray Collegiate Academy knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
