Cimarron is 0-6 against Mulhall-Orlando since March of 2018 but things could change on Thursday. The Trailblazers will square off against the Panthers at 2:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Cimarron barely beat Geary the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Trailblazers blew past the Bison 23-4 on Tuesday. The Trailblazers haven't had any issues with the Bison recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Mulhall-Orlando let Wellston stack four runs on them in the third inning on Monday but luckily Mulhall-Orlando prevailed anyway. The Panthers narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Tigers 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since March 23rd.
Kayden Vibbard made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Mulhall-Orlando let Jace Taylor and Denver McKay run wild. Taylor went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while McKay went 4-for-5 with five stolen bases and two runs. That's the most hits Taylor has posted since back in March. Preston Doty was another key player, going 1-for-5 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Mulhall-Orlando was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .394. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wellston only posted a batting average of .143.
Cimarron's record now sits at 11-13. As for Mulhall-Orlando, their record is now 17-3.
Cimarron suffered a grim 16-3 defeat to Mulhall-Orlando in their previous meeting back in February of 2025. Can the Trailblazers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
