Clearwater is 0-2 against Chapman since October of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Clearwater Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Chapman Fighting Irish at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kansas (Clearwater is ranked 129th, while Chapman is ranked 112th).
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 45-10, which was the final score in Clearwater's tilt against Wamego on Friday. Clearwater has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Chapman lost to Hesston on the road by a decisive 34-20 margin on Friday.
Dakota Curtis put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 126 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries. Curtis was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 50 yards.
The losses dropped both teams to an identical 2-5.
Clearwater couldn't quite finish off Chapman when the teams last played back in October of 2022 and fell 40-37. Can Clearwater avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
