The Bison Cardinals waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They managed a 60-56 victory over McIntosh. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
It was another big night for Rylee Veal, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. That makes it 16 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Bison's points. Another player making a difference was Colt Kopren, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Bison's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-10. As for McIntosh, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bison will challenge Wakpala at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Wakpala knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Bison likes a good challenge. As for McIntosh, they and Takini will face off at 1:00 p.m. on February 10th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
