Fleming Island's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Victoria Noble, who scored nine points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of London Jenkins, who scored 12 points along with six assists and four steals.
Fleming Island has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Raines, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Fleming Island will look to defend their home court on Monday against St. Augustine at 7:30 p.m. St. Augustine is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games. Raines won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Varsity Opponent at 3:00 p.m. on January 5th.
