The Lincoln Lutheran Warriors lost against the Grand Island Central Catholic Crusaders back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The game between the pair wasn't particularly close, with Lincoln Lutheran falling 48-33. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 208th, while Grand Island Central Catholic is ranked seventh).
Lincoln Lutheran lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jenna Luebbe, who scored 13 points. That was a full 39.4% of Lincoln Lutheran's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Ava Stroud was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Lincoln Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Grand Island Central Catholic, their victory was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-1.
Lincoln Lutheran will take on Parkview Christian at TBD on Tuesday. As for Grand Island Central Catholic, they will head out on the road to face off against Aurora at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Aurora will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
