Lakeland hadn't done well against Early recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Vikings blew past the Panthers 9-2. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matches by six runs or more this season.

The victory (which was Lakeland's fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-8. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Early, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakeland will square off against Drexel at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Early, they will challenge Wheaton at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
