Yazoo County has not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They walked away with a 60-53 victory over Humphreys County on Tuesday.
Amanda Elzy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season. As for Yazoo County, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-14.
Everything came up roses for Amanda Elzy against Yazoo County when the teams last played back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 62-19 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Amanda Elzy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
