The Dobie Longhorns will head out on the road to challenge the Clear Springs Chargers at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Dobie is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.
Dobie is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 10-7 victory over Ridge Point. Ten seems to be a good number for the Longhorns as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

04/11/25 @ Sam Rayburn | 3 |

03/17/25 vs Dawson | 3 |

Persephone Soria was incredible, going 4-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Amaya Corona was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Dobie hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 12 consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Clear Springs had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Everything went their way against the Bulldogs as they made off with a 12-5 victory. Considering the Chargers have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
The team relied heavily on Alana Strever, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Brynley Colianni, who went 4-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Dobie is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Clear Springs, their record now sits at 19-6.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Dobie hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .369. However, it's not like Clear Springs struggles in that department as they've averaged .369. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Dobie couldn't quite get it done against Clear Springs in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 as they fell 6-1. Can the Longhorns avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
