Even though the Blair Vikings have not done well against the San Marino Titans recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Blair walked away with a 74-67 win over San Marino. The win was all the more spectacular given Blair's disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 411th, while San Marino is ranked 76th).
Timmy Anderson was his usual excellent self, scoring 39 points along with six assists. The contest was his 15th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tarynce Price, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds.
The victory (which was Blair's fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-6. As for San Marino, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Blair will take on La Canada at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. La Canada has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 380 points over their last six matches. As for San Marino, they will be playing at home against Temple City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Temple City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Saturday.
