The Lassiter Trojans posted their biggest victory since December 1, 2023 on Friday. Everything went their way against Blessed Trinity as Lassiter made off with a 58-38 win. Given Lassiter's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while Blessed Trinity is ranked 343rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lassiter's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cal Liston, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kyhir Torrence, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Lassiter has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Blessed Trinity, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-17.
Lassiter will head out on the road to square off against Pope at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Blessed Trinity, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Sprayberry at 7:30 p.m.
