Basketball Game Preview: Granville Christian Academy vs. Delaware Christian Eagles

Granville Christian Academy hasn't had much luck against Delaware Christian recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Delaware Christian fell just short of Genoa Christian Academy by a score of 35-32. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the loss, Delaware Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Brooke Huffman had 19 points and three steals. Addy Beard was another key player, putting up six points and five rebounds.

Having lost for the first time this season, Granville Christian Academy fell to 3-1. As for Delaware Christian, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Granville Christian Academy has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 32.5 boards per game. However, it's not like Delaware Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 23.2 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.

Granville Christian Academy was dealt a bruising 51-18 loss at the hands of Delaware Christian in their previous meeting back in January. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Granville Christian Academy was down 31-7.
