While Beacon Hill's victory against Legacy Christian Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Gryphon sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Lions on Wednesday. The victory was nothing new for the Gryphon as they're now sitting on three straight.

Beacon Hill was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (105-99), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-23, 25-20, 17-25, 15-12.

Beacon Hill's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Legacy Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.

Beacon Hill will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hillcrest Christian at 5:00 p.m. on October 14. As for Legacy Christian Academy, they will host Highland Hall at 3:30 p.m. on October 3.
